If you smoke, make today the day to quit. The
American Cancer Society has plenty of reasons why you should; for instance, just 20 minutes after smoking, your heart rate and blood pressure drops. In 12 hours, the carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal. You can see all of the reasons to quit here, along with suggestions on how to kick the habit.
Of course, if you venture onto the campus of GRCC, you have no choice but to stop smoking. As of this morning, the entire campus is
tobacco free. I walked from the parking ramp to the main building today without drawing a single breath of second-hand smoke. Nice.
This is a really great policy, being smoke free makes it alot easier on everyone else. I know i hate smoke around me. It must make it easier to go to work and being able to breath. Not only help you be a better teacher but it must help keep students on time.
ReplyDeleteWell this is great, but at LHS it's supposed to be smoke free too and I still see many kids and adults light up before leaving the campus.
