As I've mentioned to the kids, writing an engaging application essay will help them stand out from the mass of "How the Big Game/Mission Trip Changed My Life" crowd. Of course, visiting a school can be a major factor in deciding where you want to go. Key tip: Don't wear sweats from MSU when visiting U of M.
